NAT allows the sharing of a public IP address. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Port_forwarding#Types_of_port_forwarding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Port forwarding<\/a> is where communication requests are assigned a unique identifier(port) and forwarded through a router or firewall.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assume you have computers in different locations. Imagine you want to access computer X from your computer Y. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019d have to get remote access. However, your computer Y has to send a request through a router for Computer X to allow access.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your computer sends the request with a port number. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This port number informs Computer X to send any requests that come with that specific number to your computer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"single-port-forwarding\">Single Port Forwarding<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Single port forwarding needs you to first assign static IP addresses to the devices you intend to forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You set up individual services within the network, one by one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Single port forwarding is common in organizations that use web servers, email services, and other cloud services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"port-range-forwarding\">Port Range Forwarding<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Imagine you want to allow access to web servers or <a href=\"https:\/\/starlinkzone.com\/starlink-gaming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online gaming<\/a> servers. Fortunately, there are ways to bypass CGNAT on Starlink.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ipv6-addresses\">IPv6 Addresses<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>First off, Starlink does not support IPv6 addresses.
